In a design landscape that grows increasingly awash with Scandi spartanism – all white walls and modern minimalism – Luke Edward Hall has planted a flag. To step into the world of this talented young designer & illustrator is to leave Dorothy’s Kansas and wake up in Oz – a flood of Technicolor, pattern & talking animals.
Old-world English sentiment meets millennial youthfulness in Hall’s designs – a charming blend that I find impossible to resist, so I don’t even try. I love following Hall – and seeing his latest work and inspirations – on his blog, Orlando & The Fountain, and on Instagram.
The illustrations featured in this post are available exclusively through The Cob Gallery and Buddy Editions, both fantastic online resources for affordable art prints. The plates & the cushions – which come in other fun patterns and color ways – are available to purchase through Hall’s website, here.
